Amongst 25 Candidate ESA Earth Explorer Opportunity Missions, including many really excellent ones, and after extremely tough peer evaluation and competition, the ACE+ Mission "did it".

Following ranking as number one and corresponding advice by the ESA Earth Science Advisory Committee (ESAC) end of April, this crucial programmatic-political decision was taken on May 15, 2002, at the ESA Programme Board-Earth Observation (PB-EO) meeting in ESA Headquarters/Paris by the delegations of ESA countries.

This is a great moment for the future of global observations of the atmosphere and climate, for Austria, Europe, and worldwide.

ScienceWeek@Austria 2001, May 11-20, 2001

Under the header "Mensch, Klima, Klimawandel - Hereinspaziert zu Informationen aus erster Hand!", the ARSCliSys Research Group organized "open doors" at IGAM within May 16-18, 2001. A diverse and attractive mix of highlights allowed to acquire information on issues of climate and climate change first-hand.

"Physik-Show" (Physics Show) September 27-28, 2000

The ARSCliSys Research Group was involved with a major contribution in this important Public Outreach event of the Austrian physics community on the occasion of the 50th meeting of the Austrian Physical Society held at the University of Graz within September 25-29, 2000.
